Fun in Fredericksburg!

March 26 - March 28

Back roads. Smooth pavement. Low traffic volume. Panoramic views. Challenging climbs. Good food. Lots of lodging options. Mix these together and you get the perfect cycling vacation.

We first began cycling in the area around Fredericksburg back in the 70's - and we have not gotten tired of it yet! Our "No Hassle Ride Package" makes it easy to enjoy yourself. You pick where you want to stay, as well as where and when you want to eat. All we do is concentrate on the ride experience.

We'll offer two route options each day (40ish and 60ish) on Monday and Tuesday. On Wednesday, the route options range from 41 to 25 miles. Monday and Tuesday routes start and finish in Fredericksburg. On Monday and Tuesday both options are loop routes. The Wednesday route options include routes that start out of town (loop routes) with an out-and-back option that starts in town. ALL routes have plenty of hills. ALL these rides are self-supported. I'll be riding out at 9am each day (in town on Monday & Tuesday, out of town on Wednesday) Interested riders are welcome to join me OR put together your own group. Services are limited, so make sure that you carry enough water and snacks, as well as tubes etc for mechanical challenges (more information on routes in the route packet).

As we mentioned, lodging is up to you. We like the Fredericksburg Inn, the Sunset Inn and the Hampton Inn. The First Class Lodging Service and VACASA Vacation Rentals have lots of great options both in town and out in the country.

Dining options abound. Here are a few of our favorites: Cabernet Grill, Crossroads Saloon, Sunset Grill, Olde German Bakery, Navajo Grill, Fredericksburg Brewing Company, Hilda's Tortillas, Backwoods Barbecue, Cranky Frank's Barbecue, Buffalo Nickel and Pasta Bella.

Our route map package is a mere $25. This gets you 12 route maps and cue sheets (with topographical information included), as well as TCX and GPX files for your Garmin type device (which will provide turn by turn navigation).
